Hey Charles thanks. We are still getting a lot of flack for doing it. Some are saying the spam is horrible while others say it hurts your page rank…Personally I don’t care, I can handle the spam easy enough with plug-ins & approval. In regards to page rank HA! I never know with Google. But as long as I am able to engage with our readers and it can help them in a small way then so be it! Thanks for dropping by

I think adding the dofollow feature is a good idea for bloggers to encourage conversation by incentivizing people to contribute.

Hello Cynthia, thanks for dropping by. First and foremost we have a few things in place, #1 a plug in by the name of Akismet which blocks spam then as a back up we do not allow any comments to be posted without or approval. So there are ways to go around it and yes, it does require work on our part but we do enjoy reading each and every one of our comments. As a matter of fact it's the first thing on my to do list for the day.

Aren’t you afraid that by allowing dofollow comments your blog will be full of spam, I have already notice some links, even “blog handbook” it is nothing but a spam, I am sure that the person who posted it obtained a good sum for spamming throughout doffolow blogs.

A really large amount of people are busy at the sphere of SEO that is closely connected with dofollow attribute.All that changes will just ruin that sphere and I suppose that Google corporation won’t destroy that in the nearest future.

Dofollow will probably boost the amount of comments you get, but on the other hand it may result in your site getting less of good and valid comments, because people are just looking for the back links.

If do follow is nothing more, it is a way to thank the people that comment and show them some appreciation. Even if you get more spammy comments it is still in my opinion worth the moderation efforts.

Hope everything goes well and you do not get overly spammed.

This new commenting system does seem to hold a lot of promise. I don’t see the few ‘do’s and don’ts’ presenting any significant problems, and this technology is something that most webmasters would happily look forward to. Like Gabriella says, let the sharing begin.
