Content marketing is a crucial aspect for increasing traffic to websites, generating leads, and enhancing an entrepreneur’s SEO (search engine optimization) efforts. If you still aren’t using content marketing in your online business strategy, here are signs to consider investing in content marketing.
Increases Leads and Web Traffic
Statistics reveal the incredible value that content marketing can offer a business as well as how efficient it is at increasing both leads and web traffic. These important statistics emphasize the measurable, tangible significance that content marketing can provide a business. Consider the following statistics:
- Businesses experience a 55 percent rise in leads by increasing their number of landing pages.
- Businesses with as many as 100 pages produce 48 percent more online traffic than those with 50 pages or less.
- Businesses that regularly blog 15 plus times a month experience 5 times more traffic overall than businesses that don’t.
This information is based on more than 7,000 businesses, which makes the legitimacy of the data very credible. Other businesses can validate even higher increases than the average statistics, some of which may include:
- The number of inbound links increased 8 times in just 90 days and as much as 25 times over the course of 120 days.
- Produced 50 times more traffic in terms of inbound leads than the previous period.
- Increased the number of inbound visits to the site by as much as 900 percent vs. the statistics from the prior month to launching the program to 3 months later.
- The number of pages on the site doubled in as little as 90 days.
Boosts Your Natural Search
Content marketing can naturally enhance your search as well as help people find key information relative to your products and/or services. Essentially, content marketing is based on analyzing keywords that will work to improve the SEO of your company. Analytically and strategically determining ideal keywords and good content topics is fundamental to ensuring the success of SEO. Google incorporates a very complex algorithm in order to determine the level of significance of each keyword. Many entrepreneurs try to outsmart Google’s algorithm, but to no avail. A better way to use your time is to solely focus on building helpful and insightful content that will benefit your readers, which is the best SEO strategy available.
Creates a Successful Outbound Strategy
Content marketing is a key way to create more significant outbound communications by implementing behavior that will deliver personalized and relevant lead-developing communications. As people interact, their behavior can be somewhat leveraged in order to develop relevant, targeted communications. Standard email is one of the best channels to combine both inbound and outbound marketing. Also, triggered emails that have related behavioral data tend to do much better than basic, general types of email.
Offers Reasons to Engage in Social Media
Several companies can’t decide which subjects make the most sense in terms of promoting their business on social media. A practical content marketing approach can offer more options to communicate that can provide good support for your social media channels.
Overall, social media is also a useful way to engage your audience as well as promote your content. It’s very effective when used as a technique to entice your audience to visit a certain web page or another source of information.
Helps Create a Practical Email Database
The main goal of any online marketer is to capture numerous email addresses and build an opt-in list. What’s one of the best ways to capture several email addresses and build your business? Content marketing. Step one to creating an email opt-in list is to keep promoting great content in order to attract visitors to your site. Because the visitor clicked through to find more information, it’s crucial to exchange something with them. For example, if they give you their email address, you’ll give them more information.
Content Marketing is Highly Efficient
Content marketing can potentially be a very efficient way to generate leads since it attracts people that already have in interest in what you’re offering. It’s a simple case of getting in front of them so they can see what you’re providing. According to research, businesses that spend over half of their lead generation budget on content marketing and inbound marketing often report a substantially less cost per lead overall.
Your Audience is Seeking Empowerment
According to experts, nearly 74 percent of all people would rather get their information about a certain subject through reading articles over a standard advertisement. Also, content marketing can be a very powerful way to enable people to find the information their looking for as well as shop and create opinions. Therefore, content marketing is considered an extremely effective way to deliver information in an independent manner.
Content marketing is a plausible strategy for today’s savvy marketers. While there are many ways to promote your business online, few are as effective as content marketing.

I think, social media is growing too fast and too big. There is overloaded database around the internet, that It can’t get to right people, who really want to hear about it.
An important element of content marketing is frequency and building momentum. Expecting one article to set the world on fire, and giving up when it doesn’t, is the wrong way to approach it. Spreading content around, growing your content over time and maintaining frequency (publishing and promotion) creates momentum.
Hey Steve, absolutely timing & frequency is a definite element to work with …it’s the spreading content around I have an issue with. 🙂
Search and social both have equal power on making a brand successful. Without contents both of these online mediums will be meaningless. As a small business entrepreneur and digital marketing coach, I always suggest and encourage small and local businesses to invest on meaningful and targeted content creation and promotion.
I saw the main problem is the inadequacy of resources and lack of knowledge and awareness about what content can deliver in terms of ROI. But certainly the concept of marketing changing rapidly even in the small business sector, companies are more willing to have a proper content strategy ready with them.
