Having Debra Mastaler join us via our Level Headed Marketing 2013 Google Hangouts was a treat, not just for me, but also for our listeners and readers alike. If you’ve ever met or heard Debra speak, you can’t help but enjoy listening to her no-nonsense approach of creating connections for clients. Maybe it’s her southern charm or just her ability to understand the needs of clients that make her such a sought after speaker and trainer.
To say Debra has been around for a while would be an understatement. If you work in the industry, then you know she’s the president of Alliance-Link since 2000 and is based in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Alliance –Link is an interactive marketing company focused on providing custom link marketing campaigns and link training. Otherwise, you may have seen her as a featured guest speaker at Search Marketing Expo (SMX), (SES), or maybe you’ve read one of her articles as a guest blogger for Search Engine Land or Search Engine Guide.
On a personal note, having met Debra and having had the pleasure of giving her a tour of my foggy city, it was apparent her reputation is well deserved. She’s warm, intelligent and extremely knowledgeable about building relationships. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting her at a conference or a speaking engagement, be sure to say hello – you’ll agree her sage advice and creative approach is refreshing whether discussing Penguin, Panda, or just link building… andnow, without further ado, please sit back and enjoy the conversation.

@Matt, thank you for your kind words. Best “tip” IMO is the one about getting involved in a Google+ community, it really is a great idea 🙂
@Sebastian, same here about learning something new every day!
I keep learning something new each day. There’s so much I don’t know about link building. I will get there.
Debra has an awesome reputation and has some great tips in that video!
